I wanted to thank you for such a great informative web site. I recently suffered trauma by wearing a compression garment that caused me TMJ. It’s so severe that my daily functions, like eating are limited. I have been without chewing for 18 months. I was not aware of this terrible disorder or that such pressure can cause the mandible to be compressed back into the joint space can precipitate a TMJ condition. In addition, I am in the process of speaking with the compression garment manufacturer so that other people can be aware of the complications that this compression garment can cause. I am a VICTIM of TMJ.

Please post this letter so that other people can be aware of this garment and the complications it causes…
