TOOTH DAY AT FENWAY PARK" is an exciting community public health outreach effort for good oral health. This program was initiated by The Forsyth Institute with the Boston Red Sox in Boston. It begins June 25 and runs until July 22, 2006.
Messages will appear on the billboards at various stations in the ballpark. Also printed information will be distributed to children, adolescents, and families.
Important to the TMJD patients and to the general public, Jaw Joints and TMJD will be visible.
Forsyth is concerned with children's health beyond the teeth themselves, which are attached and related to the Jaw Joints and total body health. We think this "Tooth Day" will be a huge success and will benefit everyone.
We invite you to participate in the auction by making a contribution bid for any of the wonderful items displayed. Click on the link above, and fill out the forms to enter the bidding.
If you are not comfortable about bidding online for the auction items, we recommend this alternative:
• Send a contribution in any amount to: Kristin Compton, Development

in: "for Forsyth TMJD research." Information about Forsyth can be obtained through their website www.forsyth.org.
This is a statement made by The Forsyth Institute:
"In addition to the materials that we are handing out at the Community Home Stands, we have one item that is being handed out inside the park. This is a piece for young kids that the Red Sox Mascot is handing out. There are 4 cards with a kid friendly message on the back. One of these is about wearing mouth guards when you play sports."
"If there is one message for children and sports it is: "Take seriously any injuries, falls, or blows to the head and face as they can lead to problems in the jaw joints now or in the future."
JJAMD is very thankful to Forsyth for having joined with us in initiating the first ever basic science research in growth and development of the TMJoints through the Glass Family Post Doctoral Research Fellowship in TMJD Research, which is dedicated to children. Please join JJAMD in thanking The Forsyth Institute for their outstanding effort by your participation.
