The Extraordinary Strength of a Woman Abandoned to Die

New Book Is the Amazing Story of Surviving Day by Day – and Forgiveness

Seattle, Washington – December 2003 – Unbelievable human survival is always an extraordinary story to tell. But when that story also propels a testimony to help others, it’s simply amazing.  Every Day Is a Life is a book where Zoe Moraga shares her ordeal of being hurt and abandoned, with a posttraumatic amnesia, in the snowy mountains of the French Alps. She became a disabled globetrotter at the research of her physical, mental and spiritual strength, and the new sense of her life. Then, fourteen years later she recovered completely, in an unexpected way, and forgave her criminal companions.

At the age of thirty-five, Zoe Moraga – a legal expert in European Relations – had a bad accident while skiing. This made her companions laugh at first, but then frightened them, causing these only witnesses to flee. Zoe was left alone on the snowy trail, in danger of internal hemorrhaging or of being unable to move, paralyzed.  Abandoned and unaware that there had even been an accident because of posttraumatic amnesia, she gathered the last of her strength and spirit to escape from the harsh mountain cold and embark on a fourteen-year journey of recovering from her medical disabilities.  Every Day Is a Life is Moraga’s true story of those fourteen years that then propelled an amazing testimony of the reasons for her complete rebirth, a testimony that can help many others.  From falling into a cruel situation to her surprising restoration, Moraga testifies how a person can still live, alone, without family, despite physical, mental, professional, and social tragedies. Only just saved, she thinks of others and immediately bears witness about her two fountains of regeneration, the jaw joints, and their wonderful functions.

Every Day Is a Life is an extraordinary story of human strength, determination, and forgiveness that includes an experience with groundbreaking orthopedic innovations—achievements that attributed to Moraga’s recovery from her cranial trauma, posttraumatic partial amnesia and rediscovery of her strength and equilibrium in the spine, arms, pelvis and legs – in other words, from head-to-toe. As well as being a true story of suspense, this book is an inspirational testimony of medical and personal triumph – delivering a concrete message of regeneration and practical guidance for everybody.

[The release of Every Day is a Life immediately follows the month of November and “Jaw Joints – TMJ – Awareness Month”, a Congressional Proclamation thanks to the hard work of “Jaw Joints & Allied Musculo-Skeletal Disorder Foundation Inc.” Every November brings official recognition of these two precious joints of our body.]

About the Author

Zoe Moraga’s skiing accident caused cranial trauma, with a strong impact to the base of the head, whiplash and partial amnesia; the pelvis was equally impacted. This caused critical damage to her jaw joints, which was later exacerbated by routine dental treatment.  After her solo escape from the mountains, she spent almost fourteen years searching for a diagnosis and a cure, without a hospital-journey. She kept one essential part of herself intact: this was her deep, strong belief in God’s awareness, giving sense to everything in life; she was sure that one day, she will discover the truth.

Her determination led her throughout Germany and France (also Italy). In France she discovered a new jaw joint orthopedics accompanied by the right, necessary osteopathy: an incredible combination that resulted in her unexpected complete recovery, with the return of her memory about the skiing accident.

A subject directly touching a 120 year-old taboo of the Medical School, Moraga discovered the enormous lack of knowledge, worldwide, about jaw joint functions by professionals from the Medical School and, of course, by people in general. Step-by-step, she became aware that she had the right story to propel her testimony to help others. So for Zoe, life moves forward again: by her wonderful recovery, she and her best friend Dyana Jones desire to aid the research and advocacy by others (professionals and Foundations…) of jaw joint functions, to make people aware of their proper body and its possibilities to recover. Over 60 million Americans are concerned, worldwide numbers would be difficult to calculate. Every Day is a Life bears witness as the first testimony in America about the wonderful functions of our jaw joints. Every Day Is a Life, a humanitarian gift for all those searching for their spiritual and physical Unity.
